Wargrave Professional Networking Group meet at Hennerton Golf Club (www.hennertongolfclub.co.uk), Crazies Hill Road Wargrave RG10 8LT on the last Monday of every month from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Some groups make networking all about generating leads, but the Wargrave Professional Networking Group ('WPNG') offers much more than this - you will become part of a local business community (some people call it their ‘virtual boardroom’!!) and gain access to business support and ideas – just by fairly regular attendances at our monthly meetings. The only requirement to attend is that you are interested in encouraging and supporting businesses and business people by introducing new clients, identifying business opportunities and helping each other to develop their business or service.
And, unlike, some networking groups there is no charge or membership subscription to pay – attendance is completely free!! New members are welcome and we’d love to see some new faces at one of our forthcoming meetings - details below.
The Group was launched in December 2008 and the total number of different attendees since the Group began is now almost 100 – with a regular attendance remaining fairly constant at 14/15 - showing that the WPNG is the probably the best forum for promoting your business locally.
The format of the WPNG meetings allows members to network informally at the start and at the end of each meeting – plus everyone has their own one-minute slot to tell all the other attendees about their business, recent experiences, problems, challenges or any interesting business related story.
Most meetings also have a themed presentation on a topic of interest – in recent meetings these have included Tax, Selling to Survive, Equity Release for the Elderly, Powers of Attorney & Wills, How to use Social Media and, Attracting your ideal client – and, by way of variation, we've even had free golf tuition from the professionals at Hennerton!!
Please contact either of the WPNG's organisers - Sue Ferguson or Bob Woodmansee - for more details about the Group - but all you are required to do if you attend is sign in, hand out your business cards and ‘network’ with fellow attendees. Light refreshments and drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Wargrave is easily accessible from Reading, Maidenhead and Henley.
From Reading & Maidenhead take the A4 and enter Wargrave from the Twyford/Wargrave roundabout, take the A321 to Wargrave.
Once on Wargrave High Street (A321), go straight through the set of traffic lights.
At the garage on the right at end of the high street, turn right up Wargrave Hill - signposted here.
Take the first left onto Crazies Hill Road, after Wargrave Manor on the Left- signposted here.
Hennerton Golf Club is on the left after 0.5mile.
From Henley-on-Thames, take the A321 to Wargrave. Turn left as you enter the High Street (just before the garage) on to Wargrave Hill. Turn left again on to Crazies Hill Road.
Directions to Wargrave from the M4
From the M4 take J8/9. Take the 2nd exit - sign-posted to Henley/Maidenhead. Along dual carriageway, take the 2nd junction - sign-posted Maidenhead.
Take the first exit off the roundabout and follow the A4 straight over two roundabouts.
At the 3rd roundabout (A321 Twyford/Wargrave), take the 3rd exit to Wargrave.
Directions to Wargrave from the M40
Leave the M40 at Junction 4. Take the A404 towards Marlow. Leave the A404 at Henley. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit to Burchett's Green. At the next roundabout turn right onto the A4 - follow directions above.
