Wargrave Heritage Trust is a charity registered in 1994 with the object
of raising and maintaining a capital fund, the interest from which is
applied to the preservation and conservation of buildings and
structures of architectural merit that are for the public use within
the parish of Wargrave. The Trust seeks to raise money through
covenants, donations, bequests, staging concerts and film shows and the
sale of Christmas cards, postcards and notelets that have been painted

The practice offers surgeries in Wargrave each morning and afternoon
Monday to Friday. The majority of these appointments are available on
the day, but a number can be booked in advance. Please contact the
receptionists for an appointment - if possible between 8 and 10 am if
you want an appointment on the day.
Bearing in mind the difficulty some patients have attending in normal
hours because of work or other commitments, the surgery has introduced
extended hours sessions held on a varying rota of Monday or Tuesday
evenings and Saturday mornings. Some appointments can be booked up to a
month in advance, the remainder are available within 24 hours of the
sessions. Please contact the receptionists for dates and details.
The doctors also run clinics for minor surgery, medicals, diabetic
checks etc. The practice nurses operate all their clinics by
appointment. These are booked via the receptionists.

School Lane Car Park: Glass bottles, cans, and paper for recycling may
be left in the containers provided. There is also a Salvation Army
container to collect unwanted clothing, and a container for unwanted
books There is also a kerb side collection scheme to recycle plastics,
cans and newspapers. This operates with the normal refuse collection.

Senior Citizens' Open Forum for the
Northern Parishes (SCOF)
Contact: Lyn Budell, Age Concern Twyford
& District.
SCOF's aim is to provide a voice
for older people, helping them to lead active and fulfilling lives and
to maintain their independence with care and companionship in later
years.
Membership is open to people over 50 who live within the parishes of
Charvil, Hurst, Remenham, Ruscombe. Sonning, Twyford or Wargrave, or
are involved in the interest of people over 50.
Meetings are held at St Thomas More Church Hall, Twyford, at 2pm on the
fourth Thursday of each month, except in August and December. |
